We are a diverse trade business, and we reflect that diversity within our workforce.
With over 15 employees, we have experts in multiple trades along with apprentices and trainees. We manage all licenses and certifications to ensure they are current and we provide ongoing training to all employees to ensure their technical and interpersonal skills meet the requirements of our customers and that they feel valued and respected as individuals.
We actively encourage indigenous workers to join us through our recruitment processes and the work we do within our communities. We provide pathways to employment through local schools and TAFEs.
SCOTT WILSON - Owner & Director
Scott Wilson has been involved in the plumbing and drainage industry for over 22 years. Scott has operated his own business for over 6 years. Over the years, he has gained vast experience and knowledge in plumbing and drainage in both the commercial and domestic sectors. Scott places a great emphasis on adopting new technology within the industry to assist Skillsons Constructions to provide superior quality services at a competitive rate.
His day to day experiences in his role as a plumber and later on Director/ Manager with such contracts as UGL – NSW Police, Newcastle Port Corporation & Spotless Facility Services – NSW Contracts has allowed him to develop a skill set which undoubtedly assists him in managing the day to day operations of Skillsons Constructions Scott has over the years gained a strong appreciation of the issues arising from providing services to State Government Departments.
BLAKE HUGO - Operations Manager
Blake originally completed his apprenticeship with Skillsons Constructions. He has progressively developed to be a strong leader who communicates well at all levels. The supervisory role that Blake has involves ensuring that all works are carried out safely and expediently.
